Still Life | Diane Oehrle Fine Art

Still Life

There is nothing that sends me into “the zone” faster than a wonderful subject in Still Life and a long block of time. The peace and tranquility of the moment is captured on canvas. An object caught in time and the subtle influences of one object onto another reminds us that we are not alone.

I am extremely fortunate to have a wonderful friend and mentor, Mike Gish of Greenwich, CT, Block Island and Saunderstown, Rhode Island. petermichaelgish.com He was fortunate to study in Paris, Madrid and then as an assistant to Oskar Kokoschka in 1959! He is a decorated United States Marine Combat Artist and Grumbacher Author. I have had the pleasure of spending many hours in his company delightfully scrutinizing the subtleties of a precious scene.
